Handmade Modern Art Malachite and Sterling Silver Magnetic Scarf Pin Brooch

My unique process of fusing small pieces of metal together without using solder makes this a one of a kind piece. You can wear this unique pin on a jacket or use it to hold a scarf in place, as shown in the photos, or it could be worn as a tie tack. A 5 x 7 mm malachite cabochon is bezel set onto the piece with fine silver. There are two strong neodymium magnets bezel set onto the back of the piece and coated with a special resin finish. The back bar is separate piece with two neodymium magnets that hold the piece onto your clothing without damage, like regular pins or brooches. The entire piece is 20 x 40 mm in size. When I finished this piece in 2006, I thought it looked like an abstract painting so I titled it "Modern Art".
