Orthoceras Fossil Pendant with Fused Sterling Silver Flowers
This is an Orthoceras Fossil from an extinct cephalopod and is set in a fine silver bezal. Sterling leaves and flowers surround this pieces and are hand made by melting and fusing tiny pieces of sterling silver at 1600 degrees. I manipulate them with special tools while they are molten. The pendant bail is handmade and unique, because I wanted something a special to match the rest of the piece. The finished piece is 15 x 40 mm (1 x 1.5 inches). It comes with an adjustable sterling silver chain) of 60 cm (24 inches). I used an "Easy Loc" clasp which opens when gently pressed against a link and then closes automatically. Stamped on the back with my registered trademark oujet and sterling mark.
